What to do if the meter shows an “Er5” error message?

When the meter display screen shows an error message “Er5” could mean there is an issue with the auto calibration of the meter.

Follow the steps below to reset the meter.

1.Remove the testing strip from the test strip meter port, if any.

2.Hold down the main button on the meter for 3 seconds to turn off the meter. Let the meter rest for a minimum of 2 minutes.

3. Restart the meter by pressing the main button.

4. If the meter display screen does not show “Er5”, it means the meter has been reset and can be used to perform your blood glucose test.
