In 2017, Bionime has once again collaborated with the Changhua Christian Hospital to perform foreign medical missions by donating blood glucose meters to the hospital’s Overseas Medical Mission Center. The services took Bionime to countries such as Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Mongolia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent. At the end of 2017, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has published the figure of worldwide diabetes patients, which has grown to 425 million; however, nearly 80% of the diabetes patients live in countries with medium or low incomes, and have limited access to medical care. As a socially responsible corporation, Bionime answers the call to spread good will and love by donating medical devices, hoping to help more diabetes patients by providing timely and accurate measurements of their blood glucose levels.
