Taichung, Taiwan – May 14, 2021 – This week, Bionime hosted a seminar on the importance of skin protection throughout the year, and especially during the summer.

Representatives from chemical companies delivered a quick session on UVA, UVB, the importance of sunscreen lotion, raising awareness on skin health, correct uses of protection, and other ways to shield the skin from the sun.
“I never really thought much about sun protection, other than it being a bit of a hassle,” said one employee who attended the event. “But now I realize that prevention beats maintenance, and maintenance beats repair. We have to start young to ensure that our skin ages correctly and healthily.” Asked whether he would now be more likely to go out and purchase sunscreen, the employee replied, “I’ve learnt from the session that some lotions have their own chemical removers for complementary use, so I think that as of now, I’ll stick with more physical shielding, such as long sleeves, a hat and sunglasses.”

As part of Bionime’s employee safety department’s push to encourage healthy living throughout the workforce, prizes and point programs were also awarded to attendees.
